Most systems will update the certificate automatically and no action will be required.

However, in some systems manual installation may be necessary. This depends on how your system is configured, so it is important that this information is shared with your IT department. Please verify how the new certificate will be handled in your system before the change takes place.

Creditsafe cannot determine whether the certificate will be installed automatically or if manual installation is required. Your IT department can verify this.

In order to encrypt data connections between Creditsafe and its customers, an SSL (Secure Socket Layer) certificate is used. This certificate needs to be periodically replaced with a new version. If your system is not updated with the new version, whether it’s done automatically or manually, your access to our webservices will stop working.

For this update, both the intermediate certificate and the root certificate will be replaced. If your systems rely on the previous intermediate or root certificates, they must be updated to ensure your integration continues to function.

What has changed?

• The previous intermediate certificate “Sectigo RSA Domain Validation Secure Server CA” has been replaced by “Sectigo Public Server Authentication CA DV R36”.
• The previous root certificate “USERTrust RSA Certification Authority”
  has been replaced by “Sectigo Public Server Authentication Root R46”.

Please ensure that your systems trust the new intermediate and root certificates listed above.
