Finnish Company Data: Accuracy & Consistency Improvements

We've made several improvements to the Finnish company data returned via the Connect API to ensure what you receive is accurate and consistent across all Creditsafe products.

Two fields, Previous Score and Latest Rating Change Date, have been removed from Finnish company reports. The values in these fields were unreliable and were confusing, particularly for customers using our monitoring service alongside reports. Removing them means you can trust that the data you're working with is correct.

We've also improved how VAT Registration Numbers are returned. Numbers now include the internationally recognised "FI" country prefix (e.g. FI12345678), and the field will only appear for companies with an active VAT registration, so a missing field is meaningful, not an error.

 

Swedish Company Reports: Director & Official Data Updates

We've updated how director and official data are structured in Swedish company report responses, bringing our API more closely in line with official Swedish registry data and our global data standards.

Several fields have been revised: the resignationDate field has been removed in favour of a more structured approach to sourcing resignation details. Identifiers for foreign directors have been cleaned up, and the director ID format has been simplified and is now scoped specifically to retrieving director reports. Several new data fields have also been added to enrich the response; these are non-breaking and require no changes on your side.

 

South American Search: Colombia, Ecuador & Venezuela

We've migrated our South American data to a new, more robust integration as part of our ongoing effort to modernise the infrastructure behind our global data coverage.

As part of this migration, the ability to search for companies in Colombia, Ecuador, and Venezuela using a provider-specific Company ID has been removed from the Connect and GGS APIs. All other search methods, including company name, registration number, VAT number, city, and province, remain fully available and unaffected.

This is a step towards a more stable and consistent experience when retrieving data across these regions, and is part of a broader programme of work to bring all of our integrations in line with Creditsafe's global standards.

Bulk Extracts

Shareholder Data Now Available

We've added a new shareholder dataset to our Bulk Extracts offering, giving you deeper visibility into company ownership structures across our supported markets.

You can now combine company data, financial performance, and ownership relationships in one place, making it significantly easier to build a complete picture of any business you're evaluating. Whether that's for risk assessment, compliance processes, or commercial intelligence, having ownership context alongside the data you already work with means sharper, more confident decisions.

Shareholder data is available across multiple markets today, with further countries being added over the coming months. And because it's delivered through the same Bulk Extracts platform you already use via SFTP in a standardised CSV format, it slots straight into your existing workflows without additional integration overhead. It's designed to handle enterprise-scale volumes and connects seamlessly with existing company and financial datasets to strengthen entity resolution and downstream analytics.
