Q1, 2018 Industry Watchdog Report
Unrecoverable debt owed to UK businesses across our core 11 sectors was £580m higher in the last three months than the total in Q4, 2017. The average value of this debt also increased over the last 12 months to a high of £929,875 per outstanding payment. Sales were down 23% over-all, and the number of County Court Judgments (CCJs) rose in the last three months compared to the previous quarter by 23% to 18,781. However, the average value of each CCJ dropped by 10.7% to £40,433. With a disappointing start to the year across our 11 sectors as a whole, we are hoping for a brighter picture next quarter.
